From the factory to the red carpet.

Lizzie and I had literally come 'straight from the factory' when we rocked up to the London premiere of Sienna Miller's new film Factory Girl at Leicester Square last night. I'd been given tickets to my very first West End premiere through work, and disreguarding the 'Cool Glamour' dress code written on the invite, thought it would be fine to rock up in my (very casual) work clothes. Fast forward to 6:45pm, and Lizzie and I scuffling down the red carpet in trainers and dufflecoats in front of a stand of paparazzi, all vying for a shot of the stars signing autographs behind us!! I swear they were all wondering who had let the two homeless girls loose on the scarlet rug!!

Summer? What's that?

Isn't it great how when it's dark and dismal, rainy and cold in the city that you're living... when you're sitting at your London desk in the knowledge that it WILL be dark outside when you leave for the day (or leave for your lunch for that matter...) that your friends from home feel the need to email through pictures of sun and surf, and send you text messages like 'Surfn @ Piha. Gettn crazy brnt. Fkn hot!'
I just love it. Just you wait til June... then it will be all "Aucklands sooo cold..." and I'll be like, "Here's a pic of me sunbathing in the Mediterranean. Please note the large jug of Sangria and the bronzed god fanning me with a palm frond." he he he.
